"We have announced that vehicles cannot park on 26 roads in Yangon. Now, we are undergoing a two-week education period. After the education period has ended, we will start taking actions in line with the vehicle law and fines. We have already imported tow trucks to tow vehicles that conduct parking violations," Police Major Thar Htay, joint secretary of Traffic Rules Enforcement Supervisory Committee said on Friday.

Public transportation buses have to follow the regulations for picking up and dropping off passengers on the parking restricted roads and some vehicle accidents and traffic congestion have occurred due to some buses that park on the roads at night, according to the committee.
