Taiwan based E.SUN Bank opened its representative office in Yangon on July 17.
The E.SUN Bank's immediate aim is to
provide financial advice to Taiwanese traders operating in Myanmar, as
well as monitor the economic and financial situation in the country.
The bank will also monitor Myanmar’s
politic, law and social trends and other related news that may be of
interest for Taiwanese businessmen.
As part of an effort to accommodate a
growing interest from foreign investors, the Myanmar government has
already designated foreign currency exchange to be stabilized, said Gary
Tseng, Chairman of E.SUN Bank.
The Chairman also said that the Central Bank of Myanmar has divided up new foreign investment law by three phases.
“Myanmar is now reforming and developing
the stages of political and business. Our bank is one of the best banks
in Taiwan. We have decided to lend a hand to develop Myanmar’s
economy,” Joseph Huang, President of E.SUN Bank said.
The E.SUN Bank is operating the services
such as providing loans to small scale industrialists and making
economic development by using card payment system and properties in
Taiwan and now operating representative offices in China, Hong Kong, US,
Austria, Vietnam and Cambodia.
